Engine Rooms
Whilst Switch offers big names in the electronic music industry junk prides itself on offering a wide range of up and coming talents whilst maintaining an impeccable reputation of being one of the most prestigous small clubs to do it. Junk is guilty of winning the prestigous Dj Mag 'Best Small Club' award umpteen times. Whilst Junk offers an eclectic mix of electronic sounds coming in various genres it is also a haven for up and coming talents to showcase their skills. This year junk aims to provide its audience with more and more less heard off artists enabling them to use junk as a stepping stone to show off there music.
Orange Rooms
Orange rooms is a relatively small club located on the outskirts of the city centre providing a more relaxed atmosphere offering different services compared to the larger clubs of Southampton. whilst in the evening, Orange Rooms is a vibrant energetic club offering a wide range of music, in the day it is a bar offering food and beverages of the highest standard whilst keeping the price relatively low. this attracts a huge customer base from students living in nearby Bedford Place to the older generation looking for something good to eat. it is a well-kept secret of Southampton and definitely worth a visit.
Switch Southampton is arguably one of the liveliest and excting clubs Southampton has to offer. With a wide range of music genres being played and some huge artists playing regularly, Switch is a venue everyone must visit at least once. With their mesmerising light display and a soundsystem that cannot be contested with switch southampton can and should be considered one of the best clubs the south coast of England has to offer.
Whilst Junk and Switch are almost exclusively based around electronic music Engine rooms aims to offer its audience the finest Alt/Indie music available. Whilst it does present musical acts Engine has prided itself in producing various other live performances including comedy, exhibitions, cinema, theatre and what they describe as "Bespoke Festivals. With its urban feel and excellent acoustics it is a club that can cater for almost any need which really makes it stand out as one of southamptons most notorious clubs for a good time.
